Where does your alegiance lie?

My ward is playing Popsicle Stick Mafia and even though we were all a little Leary to begin with I think most of the ward members are excited about how it is playing out. It is always so fun to find out who has "died" when we get together. Some of you might be confused so here is how the game is played: Everyone is given a popsicle stick that has your name one it after the word killer and on the other side it says victim and lists the name and apartment of someone in the ward you are responsible for "killing" In order to kill that person you have to poke them with your popsicle stick and tell them they have been killed. There are a few limitations, however, first the person cannot be killed while they are in their own apartment, second the person cannot be killed while at any church function, third the person is rendered safe by holding the hand of someone of the opposite sex. So if you manage to kill the person on your stick after following the aforementioned stipulations you get their stick (or if they have killed already, all of their sticks) it is your job to then kill the person they were working on killing. the names are in a loop so that when you get the stick with your name on it you have collected all of the sticks and you are the winner. So far it has been a LOT of fun. there are strategists and conspirators everywhere! You can't trust anyone! I managed to kill my person on the second day of the game and I was working on killing the next when i was stabbed from behind with a stick at our apartment complex's Halloween party at the skating rink. other than hearing of a few other people killed here or there I didn't think the game was progressing too quickly. But let me tell you people are tricky!!! I've seen people carried out of their apartments to be killed by unsuspecting doorbell answers, I've heard of people sneaking to where others work or workout. I've even discovered massive plans to leave unsuspecting victims in empty apartments and inform their would be killer they are unprotected! I think my favorite plot so far however is the spread sheet a few of the people in the ward are making to map out who kills who to protect themselves and learn who the last two will be, killing only the advantageous kills and plotting who they want to win. If there was ever a Mormon Mafia... our ward would qualify, but it has been a really good way to break the ice and get to know more people in the ward as you collect information on those you have to kill or help your friends kill your other friends. Now that I'm dead I've just been offering my help in plotting or giving my hand to guys that need a safe walk home (now that's a turn around of gender roles in Provo!). Who knows how long the game will last but for now TRUST NO ONE!
