Life Lessons

Ok so I know it's been forever and a day since I posted (or three weeks). I have been busy and yet not busy at the same time. I guess I just didn't feel in the writing mood. But today I realized that even if my job is difficult and not always rewarding, I am making observations and am learning habits and skills that will be VERY useful in my future life.

#1. If you do a little bit of housework everyday, you can stay ahead of disastrous situations.
#2. When you say no, mean no. Boundaries are good things and everyone wants them, not just kids.
#3. Explaining rules, consequences and decisions can take five minutes and save hours.
#4. Spend more time happy with what you have, than worrying about what others have that you don't.
#5. Tattling is obnoxious, no one wants to hear over and over again what someone else did wrong. Worry about making amends for what you have done first.
#6. Love your spouse and love your kids, but don't let your love for one cloud, or even eclipse, your love for the other.
#7. The three little words "I am sorry" can do just as many wonders as the three "I love you," use both phrases often.
