Merry Christmas!! a few days late.
Merry Christmas Everyone! The past week has been really crazy. I went to Vegas with some friends last Thursday (thank heavens we left when we did or we would have hit a LOT of snow). Geordan, Tyler, Josh and I stayed at the Stratosphere on the strip. About half an hour after we got there (so about 10:30 local time) we hit the strip with what should have been walking shoes on... Did you know that from where the Stratosphere is to the Excalibur is at least three miles! Oh wow, was I more than happy to take the bus back to the hotel for the cheep fare of only two dollars a person (a cab for the same trip would have cost us about twenty bucks!). Friday we slept in and then went to hit the hot tub which is eight flights up and outside in some of the coldest windiest weather Vegas has had in a long time. The rest of Friday was spent window shopping and sight seeing. But what made the trip the most amazing thing ever was the tickets we got last minute to the Pioneer Bowl game BYU vs. UCLA. Oh man, I'll tell you I haven't been that cold in a long time but every second of it was worth it to see that last UCLA kick blocked by BYU and hear the, what had become a very quite subdued stadium erupt with screams and whoops and hollers that have my ears still ringing several days later. So after my Vegas vacation it was time to head on out to LA (BYU pride showing, sorry Bruins can't help rubbing it in a bit) for a nice Christmas vacation. It was nice to spend the Holiday with family and get to just relax for a while. I've been working and playing pretty hard lately and I can tell I needed a little down time just to unwind. But now I've had my break and on Saturday I am heading back to Utah (bringing the family in tow) for the new year. My brother is getting married in two weeks up there and we have some last minute things to get ready for and just make sure all is well before the big day. I hope you all had amazing Holidays like I did!
