I'm a Gleek

I am IN love, and my love this time is a new television series. I will admit that I resisted at first. When Amy told me last summer that I HAD to watch the series premiere on Hulu I listened and put it on my queue but never got around to watching it before it expired. People kept telling me to watch it and I finally got around to it only because I was at a friend's house and she was watching it. It was like cupid shot me with an arrow as I sat down to watch. I swear this show was my life in High School (minus the singing although if there had been a Glee Club at Verdugo you had better believe I would have signed up in a heart beat). Anyway, we all know that I was, ok not was but am, a little geeky. These kids speak my language. My favorite character (so, you know the one most like me) is a girl named Rachel who is self proclaimed high maintenance, and not high maintenance in the super vain sort of way but the super bossy, loud, always right sort of way (look I'm growing, I can admit these things about myself), she has an amazing singing voice (something I wish I had), and she is kind of clueless when it comes to making and keeping friends, but somehow she has them anyway (in the sort of, we tolerate her way). I'll admit that I don't find myself like Rachel in EVERY way, just the ones that count. There also happens to be another character on the show who is a cheerleader (Cheerio) that is a closet show freak (Sound like anyone we know?). This character, Quinn, reminds me of my very best friend Brandee (except that Brandee didn't get knocked up in High School and I wasn't trying to steal her boyfriend). Brandee was a cheerleader, yes, but I think that she would have been happier in show choir if Verdugo had had one. Well the moral of this long rambling post is that Glee on Fox Wednesdays is AMAZING and I'm super sad that there won't be anymore new episodes till April. But when it does come back make sure you watch it! I don't know what I would do if it was canceled!!! Don't worry though, if you like me can't wait till April; the last five episodes of the season are on Hulu right NOW, and all 13 episodes will be on DVD on December 29. This is one TV series that I am more than willing to fork out mondo amounts of money for so I can own them all to my very own self.

Just a few memorable lines from Glee to end on:
Best pick up line ever: "How do I get you into my Hatchback?" (I'm so going to use this now that I have a hatchback)
About hairography: "It's like cool epilepsy."

That is all.

Will and I are also OBSESSED with this show! Did you notice that it takes place in OHIO?!?! Ha ha, that's right. Lima. Probably because Ohio is like the show choir capitol of the U.S. I'm not kidding. Diane was in our show choir (we called it Chorale)... so was Paul... ha ha.

I love it. I kind of thought you would be in love with this show. And yes, I noticed it is set in Ohio. Every time they say it on the show I think of my favorite band of Ohioans. :)
