Old Lady Leary... FIRE!

My Comcast online account isn't working right and so I had to talk to an analyst online to try and get it figured out so I can pay my bill and it just wasn't getting fixed no matter what the analyst was trying to do to fix it. I thought maybe I was getting to a place where it might be fixed and what happened? The fire bell outside started going off and within 30 seconds that means that all the high pitched smoke detectors in the apartment started going off too. So of course this means we are supposed to evacuate! Boy was I not thrilled with that idea but there is no ignoring that noise. So I got my coat and keys and phone and quickly typed to the analyst that I had to leave because my fire alarm was going off. what does said analyst promptly do? she logged off and went on to the next customer! SO irritating! Well I made sure Kortney was really awake and getting ready to evacuate and we head outside. Guess what? It's about 10 degrees outside AND it's snowing. Which would be OK if I weren't in PJ's!!!! At least I had my coat. My Christmas PJ bottoms are NOT warm like you would think they should be. I had a scarf and blanket in my car that I went and got after about 5 minutes in that freezing temperature! I felt bad for one of my upstairs neighbors though... they had to carry the their baby (probably about 11 months) out at 12:05am in his sleeper with only a blanket around him to protect him from the cold and snow. I offered his mom my blanket for the baby but she said it was OK and luckily the alarm turned off and we were allowed to go back to our apartments after about 15 minutes in the cold. So thank you neighbor who started the fire. It was quite fun? no, exciting? no, interesting? no ANNOYING!! I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose though so I'll forgive you... once I can feel my feet again.
